Frequently asked questions

What does Trivili actually calculate?

You enter your total budget and Trivili converts it into travel "runway" — how many days that money lasts in each destination — or, in Fixed-dates mode, whether it covers a specific trip between two dates.

What's the difference between Flexible and Fixed dates?

Flexible shows how long your budget lasts with no set trip length. Fixed checks whether your budget covers a specific trip between two chosen dates.

Are the costs per person or for the whole group?

The budget you enter is per traveller. If you add more people, we account for shared rooms so the per-person daily cost drops accordingly.

Do the numbers include flights?

You choose. If "My budget already includes flights" is ticked, flights come out of your budget; otherwise we show an estimated flight cost separately so your runway reflects on-the-ground spending only.

What do backpacker, comfort, and luxury mean?

They're daily spending styles: backpacker (hostels, street food, public transport), comfort (mid-range hotels, a mix of dining), and luxury (upscale hotels, fine dining, private transfers). Switching style changes your daily cost — and your runway.

How accurate are the estimates?

They're planning estimates built from typical local prices and live exchange rates, meant to compare destinations and set expectations — not to replace a booked quote. Prices shift with season, demand, and personal habits.

How many destinations does Trivili cover?

30+ destinations across 10 regions, from Southeast Asia to Europe and the Americas — with more added over time.

Is Trivili free to use?

Yes. Planning is free. When you're ready to book, some links may be affiliate links that support the tool at no extra cost to you.
